The Dallas Titans struck first in the second inning when Jeff Hanley singled to drive in a run, but the DFW Rivals responded in the third with a four-run rally fueled by timely hits from Kevin Harris, Devin Cook, Kevin Young, and Shaun McPeters to take the lead for good.
Carlos Cordero earned the win for the Rivals after allowing just one run on five hits over five innings while striking out five and not issuing a walk. Stephen Alexander took the loss for the Titans, giving up six runs on nine hits over six innings with seven strikeouts and four walks.
Hanley led Dallas offensively, going 2-for-2 from the ninth spot in the lineup, but the Titans managed just five hits overall. The DFW Rivals collected nine hits, with multi-hit performances from Young and Tyler Bark and RBI contributions from Young, McPeters, Tyler Anderson, and Cook. Defensively, the Rivals played clean baseball without committing an error, with Bark handling nine chances in the field.
The Titans will look to bounce back when they return home to face Texas Elite on Thursday.
