The Dallas Titans used a dominant seven-run sixth inning to pull away from the Yankees for a 12-4 victory on Sunday at McInnish Park.
Dallas struck first in the opening inning when Colton Connolly delivered an RBI single, but the Yankees answered with three runs in the bottom half, taking advantage of a two-run error before adding another run on a groundout. The Titans evened the score in the second on Stephen Alexander's RBI single and regained the lead in the fifth as Connolly and Steven Baker each drew bases-loaded walks to make it 5-3.
The game was put away in the sixth when the Titans erupted for seven runs. Will Phyfer started the scoring with an RBI groundout before Korey Gillespie lined a two-run single. Stephen Patterson followed with a bases-loaded walk, Brenden Monroe and Connolly each added RBI doubles, and Baker capped the inning with another run-scoring groundout.
Patterson earned the win after allowing four runs—just two earned—over six innings while striking out seven without issuing a walk.
The Titans finished with 13 hits and continued to show outstanding plate discipline, drawing nine walks. Connolly led the offense with three RBIs, while Steely Gill collected a team-high three hits. Monroe added two hits, and Bernie Garces reached base four times by drawing three walks.
The Yankees managed eight hits in the loss, with Dan driving in two runs. Despite taking an early lead, the Yankees were unable to slow the Titans' offense after the middle innings as Dallas pulled away for the convincing victory.
